Overview
What is Roam?
Roam is a Web3 DePIN project building a decentralized wireless network that runs on OpenRoaming WiFi, a Smart Global eSIM, and on-device edge intelligence. The team describes it as a “Web3 telco in your pocket”: you connect through millions of hotspots or eSIM data in 190+ countries, and the activity that keeps the network running earns you Roam Points and $ROAM rewards.
Roam has raised funding across several rounds, including a roughly $5M strategic round, with backers that include Samsung NEXT, Volt Capital, Anagram, SNZ Holding, and Stratified Capital.
Roam Airdrop Details
Roam already held its token generation event, listing $ROAM on major exchanges with a 6 million $ROAM launch campaign. A new large retroactive airdrop has not been announced, but rewards are still live: you earn Roam Points for network activity and convert them into $ROAM through the in-app Burning Pool, and the team periodically issues Airdrop Stickers to active network builders and validators.

Pick Your Path and Start EarningEasy·~5min
Roam works for two kinds of users, and you can do both:
Connect via eSIM: Open the eSIM tab and activate a Global eSIM or a Premium eSIM (data, voice, and SMS, $20 minimum top-up, KYC required). Local rates apply automatically, with no roaming or monthly fees, and usage earns Roam Points. Contribute hotspots: Open the Explore tab, find Roam hotspots near you, and check in to earn points. Adding new WiFi locations to the map pays bonus points, and rarer Stickers you collect unlock larger burn quotas later.

Work Through Quests, Events, and GamesMedium·~2min
Tap the + button in the center of the bottom tab bar to open the full features dashboard, which includes Earn, Points Burn, Stickers, Events, Quests, Leaderboard, and Roam Games like Bitbang and Paparun.
Each section has its own earn mechanic. Quests and Events are time-sensitive, so check back often for bonus point windows.

Create with RoamAIEasy·~2min
Open RoamAI from the app or the website Ecosystem menu and use your existing Roam balance to chat, generate images, or produce video across 20+ models. A top-up of about $1 in $ROAM is enough to start, and usage earns Roam Points.
When Roam runs a Creative Challenge, submit your work with the campaign reference and your referral code to enter the prize pool.

Convert Roam Points into $ROAMEasy·~2min
In the features menu, tap Points Burn to open the Burning Pool and pick your pool:
General Pool: Open to everyone, minimum 500 points, fed by app quests and check-ins. Miner Pool: For node owners only (such as Rainier MAX 60 users), with higher conversion rates. Sticker Pool: Rarity-based quota for users collecting Stickers through check-ins.
Points must be held for at least 48 hours before burning. Set your cycle count (10 minimum, 1,000 maximum), confirm, and your $ROAM becomes claimable once the cycles finish.
